Bible Verses for Valentine's Day in 2023
A Celebration of Love
Valentine's Day is a time to celebrate and share love. Whether it be with a significant other, family, or friends, Valentine's Day is a great time to show someone you care. It's also a wonderful time to reflect on the love we have for God and the love He has for us. Here are some of the best bible verses to read on Valentine's Day.
Romans 8:38-39
One of the most beautiful bible verses about love is Romans 8:38-39. "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
1 Corinthians 13:4-7
The bible also tells us what love looks like. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 states, "Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."
John 15:13
John 15:13 is a great reminder of God's love for us. "Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends." This verse is a reminder of how much Jesus loves us and how much He was willing to sacrifice for us.
Ephesians 5:25-28
Ephesians 5:25-28 gives us instructions on how to love others. "Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, so that he might present the church to himself in glorious splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish."
